Weddings & Events

Your ceremony can be as simple or as elaborate as you'd like. The location can be at the waterfront, Spring Bay on Orcas Island (4-person maximum), or at any other Island location.

Your ceremony should reflect the two of you. We delight in creating a ceremony that fits your personalities and beliefs! All ceremonies include a one-hour consultation, legal wedding ceremony, and filing of marriage documents. Bring your camera and we will take some wedding snapshots for you.

Meet Sandy

Sandy Playa, a retired Park Ranger, has been officiating weddings on Orcas since 1992. She spends her spare time leading kayak tours, managing Spring Bay with her husband Carl, and hiking with her dogs. Her specialty is weaving together tradition and individual beliefs into heartwarming, meaningful wedding ceremonies.

The sky is the limit! There is very little that we cannot accomplish. Let us know your desires.

Meet Carl

Carl Burger, a retired California State Park Ranger, began playing acoustic 6- and 12-string guitar over 40 years ago, developing a special flair for instrumental folk-style fingerpicking. His musical touch is ideally suited for helping to create a friendly, festive atmosphere, and his versatility makes him a quick study for most special musical requests.
